Walked in with anxiety at about a 5, left with anxiety at about a 10. They were very prejudice in the sense that they didn’t ask your feelings or details in certain scenarios, they would assume them and then give you advice. I also felt they enabled people to stay in relationships that are not healthy as well; not sure how they know a strangers intents, but if I find myself mostly not happy with somebody I’m leaving, not thinking from a positive perspective so I can keep somebody I don’t like on my life. I completed my internship as a clinician with the Trinitas DBT Institute. I found it to be an exceptional treatment center. The clinical team is incredibly professional and is dedicated to every client's well being and to delivering comprehensive and adherent DBT. The directors and staff are warm and down-to-earth and the clients who had been through the program seemed to have really gained from it. It's also the only Linehan Board Certified DBT program in the state of NJ as of this writing.
I am writing this review because my friend benefitted from the Trinitas DBT Institute, and she was upset that a lot of the reviews here are for other programs. There are multiple DBT programs offered at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, the Trinitas DBT Institute is particularly good.
It looks like most of the people posting reviews here are reviewing some other part of Trinitas hospital, not the DBT program. The DBT program is based in the building across the street from the Trinitas inpatient mental health facility, but has nothing to do with inpatient patient care, or the maintenance/upkeep of those facilities.
