I started having severe mid back pain a couple months ago, went to the ER where they ran tests thinking it was a kidney stone, no kidney stones so they gave me muscle relaxers/pain meds & said it was a deep muscle spasm. Was in some of the worst pain of my life coming from my mid-spine and radiating out. Saw my general practitioner, an ER physician, and an orthopedic surgeon who said it sounded like muscle pain and prescribed me pain meds and lidocaine patches. Nothing helped and I was missing a lot of work because of the pain. I decided to give chiropractic care a try and within minutes of me describing my pain Dr. Murtland he isolated the problem area.
