Totally positive Dr appointment. Dr was early, explained the treatment and recovery time.
I've seen Dr Whiting over the past few years for an on going issue with my left foot. He did everything possible to help me avoid surgery but it was unavoidable because as a truck driver I wasn't able to take time off so it finally had to happen. He removed a bone from the bottom of my foot to help relieve pressure and help the wound that wouldn't heal, heal. It's almost completely gone. Sadly I have to be off work for 10 weeks. The office was efficient. I got an appointment within days. and Dr. Whiting talked to me about all the options, with surgery being the last one and trying all the conservative treatments first. And it wasn't inordinately expensive, since I was paying out of pocket. Highly recommend.
I would like to express my extreme disappointment with the care provided. I asked Dr. Whiting multiple times to shave down a callous because it's painful and he has done this before. I even had his MA go ask again. I was told that I had to get the diabetic shoes and that would help. Which takes weeks. I have been seeing him for a while about an issue with my big toe I injured 5 months ago. The last visit he ordered blood work to check for Gout and prescribed Colchicine which treats Gout. Dr Whiting diagnosed and explained exactly what was going on in my foot causing the pain. He explained the different options to treat the problem in easy to understand and recommended ways. He made a simple Orthopedic support to let me see and feel one way to deal with my arthritic foot. I will continue for a few weeks to determine if this fix is the only necessary treatment or if more needs to be done.
