I was bitten by a recluse spider back in 2003. This caused an autoimmune issue in which my immune system to begin attacking my brain. I lost hearing (actually had tinnitus so loud I was deaf) A Dr. MD read that the treatment was to pump me full of immunoglobulin (to help get my body to fight the spider venom I deduct) then temper the immune system with prednisone, tapered lower in doses until my body was back in balance.
