I first saw the sign for Treehouse Coffee Co. on the way into Duck. I told myself I would go there before I left. So the last day on vacation I walked from the beach house into town. Exploring the local shops I made it finally to Treehouse Coffee. After the long hot walk I ordered a cold brew coffee. It was great. Great coffee, great food, great service. Best breakfast in Duck, hands down.
Waited 45 minutes for a to go order which I discovered was missing part of it when I got to the car. Went back in to get it and the server didn't apologize, just said she was distracted when putting together my order. Then when I got back to my condo the sausage on one of my biscuits wasn't cooked all the way through. The sausage gravy was way too spicy and my southern charm biscuit was not as described. The coffee is very good. If you are just stopping in for coffee I highly recommend this place. I ordered a breakfast biscuit, and after 48 minutes it finally came. The sausage on it was cold, must have been frozen first. They must be understaffed, because it was not terribly busy. Great for coffee, but I cannot recommend breakfast. ***UPDATE*** I need to add that either the manager or the chef (not sure who) came out and apologized, and refunded my meal.
