Dr Jock Perkins helped me get rid of a 2 year stubborn plantar wart. I go to a provider at the meridian location and scheduled for a freeze at the Caldwell location due to it being quick procedure and closer. Jock instead took initiative to cut it out, it was MUCH deeper then he expected and more painful than I expected but I am so thankful to no longer have a wart, be healed up and he also saved me a lot of money and time! I grew really frustrated seeing this dermatologist. The recommendations I received were very basic, and when dial soap and spironolactone didn’t fix my problem, he suggested that I fix my “anxiety” first. When I made it a point to not see him until I had not picked at my skin for awhile, he had me look in a mirror and told me there was nothing wrong and that it was essentially in my head, and recommended anxiety medication again. I visit this location a few times a year. The staff is so kind and professional throughout each visit. Dr. Perkins is very knowledgable and attentive. Whenever skin issues pop up he helps problem solve and recommend treatments. If the issue persists, he's quick to pivot and try another method. When I have questions or concerns he thoroughly explains everything and reassures me. Cannot recommend Dr. Perkins at Treasure Valley Dermatology highly enough!
The staff was very friendly. However, I went in to have a skin rash looked at and they told me I had eczema. They prescribed an ointment that works. So all good there, what I really disliked is that they wanted to do a tissue exam, which I ended up paying extra for and not getting any useful information from. I'm sorry, but if you are going to examine and charge for it, you better have some new info I can get from it. They literally ripped me off for a test that didn't help whatsoever.
