Ovi's team treated our floors with an oil finish that he had convinced us was better than the traditional swedish finish.. Afterwards we had concerns that the finish wasn't as resistant to stains and water as the swedish finish was. He came out and inspected and told us that the finish he recommended was superior to swedish finish but that he wanted us to be happy. Mr. and Mrs. ****** came into our showroom, were shown samples and discussed all of the finish options available to them when refinishing their floors. They liked the fact that this floor had a pleasant texture and was easy to touch up over time, as opposed to Swedish finish. They opted for a penetrating oil finish, after discussing and contemplating all of the options given to them. They charged me $25 for Ovi (the owner) to come out to give me a quote. Then their quote was $3,750 to refinish 300 square feet, do some small repairs, and to install baseboard. Other companies quoted half that. Their response to the high quotes is they have a minimum charge of $2750, and the repairs were an additional $1000. Other companies quotes $200 for the repairs.
