Specialties Trax Restaurant & Café is a cozy BYOB in the old Ambler Train Station. A neighborhood gem serving tastefully American cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, organic ingredients. Trax has 45 seats inside the old frame station, which sits alongside the R5 tracks. The cozy space has several intimate window-side nooks. When the sun is shining, the BYOB (bring your own bottle) also seats 30 outside, in its award-winning garden. Great BYOB right outside of Philadelphia This place is delicious, it is right on Butler Pike in the up and coming area of Ambler. It is called "Trax" because they are located in historic Ambler Train Station. Highly recommend giving them a shot, great atomosphere and delicious American Cuisine. It is a very rewarding dining experience, I highly recommend.
Locavore's Delight A beautiful BYOB in an old renovated train station with a delicious creative menu. I've been impressed that the chef often uses local produce and meat in his menu.
Awesome Food!!!! My husband and I are regulars and absolutely love the food and the staff. It is intimate in its setting and the BYOB is an extra bonus. We used to bring our children when they were small to watch the train. The owner, Steve was always accommodating for the children when we came on the early side. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant!
Love this place! We've lived in the area for a while now and even though lots of great restaurants have turned up in Ambler over the last seven or eight years...Trax was the lone one for a long while! My husband I and always enjoy dining here. It is small, intimate and the food and service are always first rate!
I was given a gift card to Trax not long ago. Didn’t know it had closed. When I called to make reservations I was told by the owner “ I don’t know what to tell you “and then hung up on me. How about a refund? Sure glad I only lost $50. Can’t imagine if I had a large party planned there and was treated that way. Poor business!
I have been there before and the food is always outstanding! Yesterday I found a metal clip in my dessert. I understand these things happen, however, no one came out to talk to me about it. They just gave me another dessert. I wasn’t looking to get anything for free! Just thought it would be appropriate for someone to come out and apologize.
This is a lovely BYOB set in a cozy former train station in Ambler, perfect for a date or the whole family. The cuisine is classic American and made with seasonal local ingredients. The chef/owner creates ample, delicious and unpretentious dishes that can please any palate. Service is warm and friendly, and there is outdoor dining in warm weather. This has been an Ambler mainstay for many years and it continues to shine. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
