A really amazing surgeon who is super humble and with an awesome personality . . . He is the full package deal here. We are grateful he saved my husband's arm after a tragic bike accident!
I was visiting from out of town when I had a serious cycling accident where I fractured my femur and was transported by EMTs to trauma hospital. I was fortunate that Dr Hughes was on call. After seeing the Xrays and imaging, he came by and took me through the best emergency surgical treatment for my situation, and that they would be able to do it in the morning. Dr. Hughes is a brilliant surgeon and I highly recommend him. I was airlifted from a mountain top to Banner and he was on call. It was a traumatic time for me and he made me feel at ease and he did a great job with my surgery. I was fixed up and released from the hospital the next morning. Follow up visits have been great. He takes the time to listen, explain and give useful advice.
