The mass amounts of house flies and dirty bathhouse's are less than desirable. They claim to enforce quite hours 10-7 but still hear screaming kids and loud drunks after 11:30pm. Currently still staying but cutting our losses and leaving 2 days early.

My husband and I camped at trap pond this past weekend and had a blast! We camped in a primintive camping spot. We felt our spot was good size and we were far enough away from our neighbors to have privacy. In the past weekend we hiked, fished, boated and played with our nephew at the play area. We felt that the park was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing we wished that was better was the bathhouse. The several times we used it was dirty and unkept. No crowds. No bugs. Good picnic. Good boat tour of Cypress swamp. Best State park in many years.

If there was an option for 0 stars I would choose that. ALL because of one ignorant employee that had my 9 year old son's 3 week old raccoon baby taken away & euthanized!!! Cause it might spread rabies.....keep in mind it's eyes just opened & we have spent the last 3 weeks feeding it from a bottle when its mother was hit by a car. Just want to say THANKS LADY. For making my 9 year old cry his eyes out you ignorant inconsiderate B!!!!!! NEVER COME HERE!!!!! BOYCOTT TRAP POND so they can't afford for her to keep her job!!!! Ho... read more
