My husband and I always make a trip down to Trap Pond to go fishing at least once a year. This is the first in 32 years I have been disappointed with the condition of the pond. The water quality was very disappointing.

Just love how well the park is taken care of. Everyone enjoys their job and it shows!

On the upside, the Pond and the cypress swamps make for some great kayaking. On the downside, the hiking is ehhh, the shower and restroom facilities were among the worst I've seen in a Delaware State Park, and we got ticketed for parking cars in an area that is neither posted as a No Parking zone nor is it written in the park rules brochure not to park there.

Trap Pond is a favorite. Beautiful, quiet. Great for kayaking, nice play areas for the kids, very well maintained and a helpful and friendly staff. Kayak, canoe and paddle boat rentals are very affordable if you don't own one, don't miss the gorgeous cypress swamp. A favorite activity now for us is the miles and miles of bike trails and the FREE loaner bicycles available for campers of all ages.

Great State Park. Campground has extremely spacious sites in the woods. The walking trails are great and the water trails on the pond through the cypress trees is excellent.
