Best place to get a transmission rebuild.
Would recommend. I'm a racer from way back and have heard of transmissions by Bruce from the 70's. I finally needed there service and they delivered. Runs great. Fair price.
We are lucky to have great service at a fair price right in our backyard.
I am heading to transmissions by bruce for the third time. Three different vehicles, the first two went so well. When I installed my first one in a k1500, I locked the overdrive in and blew the pump. My error, not only did they not laugh at me they, they removed repaired and correctly installed the transmission with good will. The second time was our commercial 3/4 ton service truck, quickly repaired, and returned to service.
I went to a lot of other garages and it seemed like they were in a hurry to take my money. John (Bruce's son) took the time to explain and show me what the problem was. I felt I got a good price and got my car back in 3 days. Runs Great.

I have a Silverado 1500 truck that had a 3-4 slip. I called transmissions by bruce along with 3 other shops and just felt like they were being honest and took time to explain what they felt like the problem was. I took my truck there on a Tues. and they called me right away with the diagnostics and explained what the problem was and the price. I checked online and the price seemed fair. Very pleasant to deal with.
Good job. I go by this shop on my way to work. My 2007 GMC 2500 blew the transmission and stopped moving. Called a couple of transmission shops and ended up at transmissions by bruce. They told me around 1800.00 to fix it and that is about what everyone else said. John called me after they towed it in and told me the transfer case broke and it would be 885.00 to fix. YAHOO. Came out spending less than what I was quoted. That's rare. Honest service. Danny
