We first met with the Transitions birth center team as they were in the process of shifting to new management. I would love to have given a better review, we work with a lot of pregnant moms and had heard great things! Unfortunately when transitions was sold in December I believe, we have only heard horror stories. Billing issues being hidden, and other dangerous things. We had gone for my wife’s “confirmation of pregnancy “ she called it. Just to tour and do a few tests. If you’re looking for the most magical birth experience, or a first time mom wanting a natural birth AND looking for the space to confidently advocate for yourself THIS IS THE PLACE. This was the birth experience I’d always hope for. With my first my birth experience with midwives (not Transitions) in NY in a hospital setting was disappointing and disempowering. With transitions I felt empowered and my birth experience was extremely healing and rewarding. My daughter and I were very well taken care of in a peaceful and nurturing environment.
