excellent healthy food – I love this restaurant. It is a small family owned casual restaurant. The food is fabulous and the value is great. It is less greasy and salty than most asian food. Excellent vegitarian dishes. It is BYOB.

Pittsburgh's place for pho An excellent place for pho ga - Vietnamese noodle soup. The soup is really fresh and you are given toppings such as cilantro, mint, and limes. The fried spring rolls are also excellent. Be sure to order the Vietnamese iced coffee ? it goes great with the spicy dishes. Other Vietnamese dishes are available too. At Tram?s, you are served by the owners, who are very nice and have many stories about Vietnam. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are large.

Good, not great – Trams is good, and inexpensive. If you want authenticity, it's not the place to go, but you'll get a decent meal at a decent price. The spring rolls always seem to have hard leathery bits but are otherwise fine. The spicy shrimp (tomato-based) and rice is a good choice, and the soups are satisfying. The noodles tend to be overcooked.

OK food, Very poor services – I liked their spring rolls but was disappointed by their services. To start, the table was not so clean. They only take cash - no credit card, no debit card, no checks. ONLY cash. At the end of the meal I had to get out of the restaurant to look for ATM. What an embarrassment. When I finally paid the cash, they gave me wrong changes - $2 less. I hope that was a mistake, not a dirty trick.

Tram's is great! – Tram's is my comfort food -- you're almost guaranteed to feel better about whatever ails you after some of the awesome fresh spring rolls. Just relax and go with whatever the owner suggests. This isn't haute cuisine, Tram's isn't competing with restaurants in LA, this is just really great food at really great prices in a neighborhood that appreciates both.

Vietnamese cuisine? Here? Yes, it's true. – The Scene If you were blindfolded and led into Tram's Kitchen, you might believe you were on a side street in Saigon. There are Vietnamese signs, Eastern art and waitstaff calling to each other in a foreign tongue. In fact, the food is straight out of Saigon, and is filling, healthy and inexpensive. The Food You might start off with pho, the traditional soup of the country, with beef or chicken, noodles, onions, and cilantro, served in a large bowl with fresh mint and bean sprouts ... read more

Not like other Vietnamese resturants – I've had some Vietnamese food in Dallas, LA and Orlando before and it's not like Tram's, at least the Pho' noodles I had at Tram's was not close to how good Pho' noodles should taste. The other dishes were decent but all I have to say is that it did not taste as good as those other Vietnamese resturants I had in the past.

3 Words - Great Spring Rolls! – Tram's Kitchen is a great place to eat! I've eaten there dozens of times and I've never had a bad meal! It's selection is somewhat limited, but what it lacks in variety it makes up for in taste and quality. It is a very quiet place where you can always get seated immediately. The fresh spring rolls are the best part of the meal! It is a small, family operated business, so when it is crowded, food can take up 15-20 minutes to arrive at your table. Which isn't that bad when you can use that time... read more

Better than SanFran can offer! The Best – I think Tram's is the best restaraunt in PGH. If you are into fresh vegitarian food, Tram's is easily the best restaraunt. My relatives live in SanFran and they cannot get as good. Do not listen to the other reviews, order the veggie pho with tofu and forget your worries.
