Best fresh spring rolls in ptitsburgh. – Their fresh spring rolls are AWESOME. There is no better. Every other restaurant I get spring rolls at around Pittsburgh smells funny to me. The pho is all good, as well as the vermicelli, tofu, and lemongrass dishes. The fried rice is unique, as it has lots of garlic, and a sweet taste to it. The atmosphere is a little dumpy, and the service is terribly slow. The place is routinely filled to capacity, and they probably don't have enough real-estate in the kitchen to keep pace with al... read more

the worst service in Pittsburgh – The service is slow and servants are not not friendly. We asked for extra basil sometimes, never come. Always throw the check on the table. not a good place to enjoy food. we have tried more than 70 places in Pittsburgh. This is the worst one.

Favorite by far – Tram's is where I go when I want to enjoy a meal, relax, and enjoy conversation with my husband, friends, or company. It's my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh, by far. I love their food and really like that I can go in my work clothes, rather than feel like I have to get dressed to go out. The prices are good, I try not to go during peak hours, and I always feel satisfied when I leave. I have been going there for 11 years and Tram knows me as #17 with shrimp. (She smiles curiously if I order something diff... read more

Not such a great pick – Now, I have to be fair, which is why I chose to give Tram's Kitchen 2 stars rather than 1. I've been there twice. The first time we were seated promptly and our food came out in a reasonable timeframe. We like to eat pho, but this pho was mediocre at best. Well, actually, it didn't taste nearly as good as any other pho I've had, excepting a white-people restaurant trying to pull of the soup. Last night we went again, were seated promptly, and only ordered pho again. "That's all?" the waiter asked, as ... read more

They Call this Vietnamese Food? – So here it goes...We ordered the spring rolls, egg rolls, Pho, Deep Fried Egg Noodles Combination meat, and Soft Fried Egg Noodles tofu. Being vietnamese, I was looking for how "mom" makes it and this come no where near close. We were seated right away but our meals did not come out until an hour later. The pho tasted like "Canh chua"...AKA...sour soup and they did not have any basil...uggh. The noodle dishes were mediocre at best. The owner came out and have the nerve to speak to us in Viet... read more

I want to purchase stock in Tram's, it is so good! – I've been a frequenter of Tram's for over a year now. It's been a couple of month's since I've been there - but the owner knows our names and our usual order. It is incredible! I thought I loved Thai, Vietnamese blew me away. I thought "Pho, I don't want to order soup for dinner..." LOVE IT! Highly recommended to vegetarians, healthy eaters (Lemongrass tofu is to die for). Best fresh spring rolls I've ever had (in many states, east coast and west). Support local, family ow... read more

Best Asian Joint! People looking for "real" asian need not look further! – As a former cook of high end food...Nothing is better and more authentic. This is the choice for most Chefs looking for Lunch on the cheap without losing flavor.

tot lam viet! – After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant however, hadn't heard of it before, sooooooo... A take-out meal for one, an afternoon between trips, the sun on my tailgate in Lawrenceville. Having been a resident of VN (but American) and returning soon, I was interested in 'maybe' finding a decent VN restruant finally. So far the 'Burg has been a bust...until today! Pho is an entire culture unto itself, good Pho is the holy grail. Next time I will tell them to put everything in one container, with t... read more
