wonderful customer service I had a lovely experience. The people were not at all like other reviews had described them, instead they were kind and helpful. Must have changed the staff. They helped me find the perfect outfit!!! And then they told me that they bought stuff from the public and if I was to purge my overflowing closet hahaha I could come in and sell them my stuff. And I'm looking forward to doing just that !!!
Trader No! This store is a glorified Salvation Army - only instead of $1 used polyester tanktops they sell them for $9.
Re-Cycle its a good thing! I have been selling and buying at Trader K"s for years now. I can say that i did encounter some rudeness and unfriendly service a few times.However i brought it to their attention, mentioning that customer service is VERY important to the success in any business. After that i was much satisfied with the service there. I feel its important to shop local and the re-use, recycle stores are more important than ever. super bad I had really expensive clothing and dresses in my bad to give them, like 100+ dollar sweaters and expensive dresses and items that I was expecting a lot of money for. For the 10+ items I gave them (100's$ of clothing in perfect condition) they only gave me 5$ for a whole bag of clothing. Its insulting, if I knew it was so little of a price paid, I would not have taken my clothing there at all. edc
50-50 I have to agree with some of the reviews regarding the employees. 90% of the time they have been quite unfriendly when both selling and buying clothing. I have taken clothing there for 4 years and am baffled at some of their clothing choices. While browsing through the racks, there are tons of items from WalMart and Target. There is nothing wrong with these brands but why advertise "famous name brands" when most of their inventory isn't? Trader K's is ridiculous! If you are looking for a discount store with quality items, with a helpful, friendly staff....this is not the place for you. I find the staff at the Salvation Army in Ithaca so much more pleasant. (Wild dogs would be more pleasant than the staff at Trader K's). What baffles me is this....with all the people complaining about hte staff being very unfriendly and not helpful at all, why are they still employed there? don't try to sell your clothes here In terms of selling stuff, the staff are rather unfriendly and also talk about customers right behind the desk. You might get them on a good day, but that's rare. Also, they give you hardly any money for good clothes/items, yet they sell some pretty beat up things! They are also extremely picky.
! the green street parking garage is literally two steps out the back door of trader k's.
Bad service and bad clothing choices! The employees are not very helpful or friendly at all. And, I don't get how they choose the clothes to keep. As I roam around the store as they look through my donation bags I see tons of cheap, out-dated, random label clothes, yet they don't take brand name jeans in perfect condition. I don't get it. And, with what they do accept, you get very little money in return. I've been to much better consignment stores. Not impressed.
