Her suggestion of glute tendon sheath injections helped a lot. Several other orthos didn't have a clue. Over a period of several years, she had some creative ideas. Not all of them panned out, but I appreciated that her approach & knowledge was better than some of her colleagues. I eventually agreed to the hip replacement because everyone else was unanimous that it was needed. It was not. I had a very bad experience with this provider. She misgendered me multiple times and demonstrated very poor active listening skills. She only corrected the misgendering after I asked to speak to her supervisor. She demonstrated a strong weight bias and made incorrect assumptions about my health behaviors based on what she assumed my weight was. This made it difficult for me to get timely, evidence based care for what turned out to be an autoimmune disease.
