One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We had a large group which we had a reservation for, and half of the dinners came out 45min before the rest! We were all eating at separate times. And there was no apology or explanation from the waitress! And the "huli huli" chicken was in no way marinated or basted with huli huli sauce. It was over spiced and smelled awful!
Trace is a bar on the street level of the W Hotel, Seattle. The staff is all very attractive. Most of the bartenders we encountered during our five-day stay were almost pleasant, and even knew how to make a competent martini. I think I may be too old, and too pampered most of the time, to feel rewarded for my decision to spend money here.
Finally had the breakfast and was so impressed. The corned beef hash put all others to shame. Delicious chunks of tender flavorful corned beef made the dish amazing. All others now taste like mush. The egg was cooked perfectly. Kahlua pig egg benedict who would have thought? What a combination of flavors and texture. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu. Love the farm to table and island influence.
