I was unaware that showing your hairdresser a picture of how you like your hair can become insulting to them over time because Elva never let me know. Instead, she was all smiles and hugs often telling me she ‘loved’ me. It would have been helpful if she had simply let me know how she felt. The last time I was there as Elva put color in my hair, she had the owner come over so she could publicly berate me about how I have been insulting her over the years with the pic.
