Toyota, great to own horrible to work for at the dealership. Toyota corporation should be ashamed of how they let these dealerships treat technicians and employees. They need to step in and do something and put these private companies corporate companies that own these dealerships in check. After 13 years as a technician for Lexus and Toyota, I’ve had enough, the greed at these dealerships is unbelievable. I visited the Toyota booth at the OC Fair interested in a car, but when I called to the nearest salesman, he walked right past me. I managed to get his attention, but he didn’t seem interested in answering any questions. When I asked if his dealership wanted a sale, he proceeded to boast how he was “one of the higher ups from corporate, in charge of sponsoring the entire fair”, and how one car didn’t mean much to him.
