On April 1, 1981, Dr. John Hammons bought an existing veterinary practice and opened Town & Country Animal Hospital. Dr. Hammons practiced large animal medicine along with small animal medicine until 1988. The farm animal portion of the practice included farm calls, haul-in facilities with hospitalization capabilities, and stockyard testing. Dr. Edgmon was wonderful to my baby, Georgia, when she was vomiting for 8 hours straight. The office called the day after my husband took her to the clinic to make sure she eating/ drinking and was doing well with the medicine given to her. This clinic is a little pricey, but it's worth every penny to know my fur babies will be okay!
We absolutely love Town and Country Animal Hospital, the veterinarians and staff. They are all so caring. I would not consider taking our pets to any other place.
Dr. Edgemon is a super genuine guy who takes a vested interest in his patients. He performed surgery on our Chloe last week (13 year old Lab) and she has bounced back to her usual hyper self with no complications. Tammy and other staff at TCAH are very nice and helpful. Appreciate Dr. Hammons checking on Chloe as well.
Our Angel passed,there clinic was comforting,supportive during our grieving,Angel was cremated,I picked his little box up today,and they helped me and gave me numbers for a memorial service in Athens for a chest to rest Angel's ashes in,I thank you for caring
They may be an ok clinic for the upper class but they are very judgemental. They disapprove of owning more than 2 pets. They expect you to buy only Science Diet foods. They expect you to be able to have a couple thousand dollars on hand to put toward vet bills....just in case...and if you don't then they would rather euthanize the animal than give assistance...or or less than gold options. Pros... they have a clean facility and up to date equipment and treat owners and pets with money like gold. They force their gold program... read more
