Great Food Great Crowd This place is always a nice hang out. The mixed drinks are good. I like the lemon drop there and you have to try the calamari appetizer with string beans so delicious.
Great place Town is a wonderful warm environment. A table next to the fireplace on a cold San Carlos evening is wonderful. You have to try the many appetizers won't be disappointed with the calamari. The service is excellent. Can't go wrong with any selection on the menu.
The hopping place in San Carlos A nice upgrade to what was once A Tavola - this total remodel and different menu creates a great environment. The long bar with seating on both sides runs down the middle of the restaurant and combines with the open front and tables on the sidewalk (for warmer months) to make a lively scene almost every night. Great option for business lunch too. The meatloaf sandwich is spectacular.
Exceptionally good local restaurant A Tavola is a casual yet sophisticated restaurant in downtown San Carlos. The food is fresh and expertly prepared with an emphasis on Italian and Californian specialties. Wait staff are courteous, professional and efficient. Well selected wine menu and outstanding desserts lead to an exceptional dining experience. Don't miss the bread pudding!
Town is Superb! Absolutely LOVE Town! Food is always great, the atmosphere is fantastic. We sat outside a couple of times because the weather has been nice and warm. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
the best Town is AMAZING! I recommend the terriyaki skirt steak. It comes with garlic mashed potatoes and onion rings. Upscale place, always packed and it would be smart to make a reservation!!! Without a reservation it will be really hard to get a table on a weekend night if at all.

Good food, great staff, bit noisy My husband and I have gone to Town restaurant on Laurel St in downtown San Carlos. The food was very good. The first time we went we ate outside and that was great. The next time was a bit chilly so we opted to eat inside. Too noisy and you can't hear each other talk. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The bar is beautiful in the center and they make some awesome drinks. If you don't mind noisy I suggest you check it out.
Loved it before...and still do! When this place was A Tavola I would come here all the time with my parents. Although I was sad to see A Tavola go (due to a kitchen fire, no less) Town has taken it's place and I still love it here! They changed up the inside a little bit so that it can be more of a "nightlife" place in San Carlos and the menu changed as well. Town serves more American food and I highly recommend there burger. No other place does a burger and fries quite as classy or as tasty as Town does!
