Service was lacking , some dishes where on point others where bland Hamachi crudo was by far my favorite plate of the night . Hanger steak with sun chokes was a disappointment everything on the plate was bland , sunchoke puree had no life to it. Uni sandwich was okay but not for the price. Had the misfortune to have chosen Toro for a dinner out with friends tonight. At first I thought I had dropped a hair in my food. However, I said nothing as I didn't want to ruin the night out for our group. However, as the other tapas came out, AGAIN a hair in the that dish, the empanadas. My friend wasn't as quiet about her disgust and at this point I knew this can't be a coincidence. Ugh! They removed the empanadas charge ( obviously) and gave us more wine free of charge. This place is great! Fantastic service, atmosphere, and food! Would recommend for anyone looking for a little bit of an adventure in NYC.
