Great Toreros food is beyond parallel any Mexican restaurant in town. The burritos, taco, enchiladas, and fajitas so decilious and flavorful. The price is unbeatable for the portions you receive.
Healthy & Fresh I've had a lot of Mexican food in my day, but Torero's is one of the best. I've had their fajitas, burritos, mexican pizza, beef tacos, and their flan. The prices are great, the service is great, the serving sizes are huge, and the taste is incredible. As good as the entrees are, I'd happily go there just for dessert -- for more of their flan. If you go to Torero's you must get their flan. It would be just plain illegal not to. Oh, have I mentioned that their flan is great?
Los Toreros Mexican When it comes to ethnic foods, one should consider if persons from that ethnicity eat in the establishment. Well...here they do! It is just like Momma made it! Food is great. The portions are large. Even the plates are above average. The prices are great. A family of four can easily lunch for $15. Dinner costs will be $20-25. Well worth it.
Customers should be treated with respect – After a long evening of shopping for the perfect wedding dress my friend and I decided to stop by and eat at this establishment. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere here even though the food is a little on the bland side. Our waitress was courteous and our meal came quickly. When the check came I whipped out my bank card and paid the bill. The next day I went to fill my car up with gas and my card was declined. I ran home and looked at my statement. Not only did the restaurant char... read more
Average Mexican, but great staff! – To make a really long story short, my friends and I visit ethnic restaurants on a regular basis to sample different kinds of foods in various areas of the triangle. This was our September 2006 Ethnic Night. Yes, I'm behind in my reviews! :) The staff was very good! They accomodated our group of 18 people! They never skipped a beat! Drinks refilled constantly, food came out quickly and accurately! The food was similar to most Mexican restaurants in the area. Nothing flashy or anything to ju... read more
Best Mexican in my opinion! – Their chips and salsa are fresh and wonderful. They have always given me good service. Their skirt steak dish is my favorite. It is tender, juicy, and deliciously grilled. Fabulous Margaritas! Reasonably priced too!
Torreros host called me a cracker – I had lunch with a friend at Torerro's Mexican restaurant on Atlantic today. While we were waiting to be seated, I told my friend that I had eaten there a few times and always had good meals there. I went on to say that it seemed like there were always a good number of Mexicans eating there, and I guess that's a good sign that the food is authentic. I think this must have offended the host, because he made a few comments while seating us about how he likes to call his white friends cracker... read more
My Favorite Mexican lunch spot, also good for a draft brew If you like a good lunch value, you must go to Toreros. Their lunch specials put generic mexican resteraunts to shame. $5 will get you a meal that can't be beat. They have an excelent vegetarian lunch menu, as well as great meat dishes. Also, they have daily drink specials ($1.50 Dos Equies Amber on Friday!). The only downside is that they are so good that they tend to be slugish at peak lunch time (go to lunch early or late) especially on Friday.
Some of the best food in Raleigh Being from the Southwest, I have a hard time finding "good" mexican food here in North Carolina. Having said that, I have found a great place with good food and good portions. The chips aren't all that - but the salsa is pretty good. I love the chunky texture, without it tasting like it was previouly canned/bottled. The service has been pretty good, some times better than others.
