We were booked in to stay on Wednesday after our visit to Bateman Bay to visit my wife’s mother! Devastatingly my mother in law passed away on the Tuesday so I rang the motel and explained what had happened and that we needed to stay in Bateman Bay longer to organise funeral and everything else! The lady showed no compassion and simply said if you cancel you lose your money! Thanks for caring 😳
We stayed here for a night courtesy of the NRMA after breaking down in Coffs. We had our small dog with us. The room was basic but clean, bed was comfy showers were hot! Couldn't ask for more after our drama! And we could walk to the pub for dinner and to the coffee shop the next day whilst we waited for the car to be repaired. Staff were very pleasant and allowed us to stay a little after check out til the car was done. Also having the use of the guest kitchen was a bonus! Greeting was terrible, the woman never smiled, no customer service whatsoever. The room has big dust piles on the floor, nothing had been dusted. Floor was dirty and sticky. Doesn't look like any cleaning has been done under the beds for at least 6 mo months. Hand soap container on the wall was cracked, couldn't dispense soap to wash hands. Air conditioner stunk, was loud and noisy. For $175 was very disappointed. Will never recommend nor stay there again.
We stopped overnight here and no complaints. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our little dog was made feel welcome as well. See you on our return in October . Maree, George and little Murphy
