Time to leave Torchy's. I went to the one on Escarpment in Austin. No one at the register. They wanted us to use a computer screen to place our order. Finally someone came to the register and took our order. When I paid in cash - Torchy's now rounds up the amount of change you get - to their benefit and NOT the benefit of the customer. It is clear who comes first - and it is NOT the customer.

I am a door dash driver and I went to the Torchy's on Sonterra Place in San Antonio to pick up the first of 2 orders I:d accepted. When I got to the counter there was 1 older female employee at the register with 2 separate groups of guests in front of her. I noticed 1 to go bag behind the counter with a name on it that was not my customer's. Where’s the ZERO STAR option when you need it?! Torchy’s used to be one of our favorite spots—we were loyal customers, eating there at least once a week. But after this experience, I’m done. I’ve been trying to get in touch with customer service at the so-called “corporate office” and it’s been nothing but silence. Weeks go by without a single response. The TORCHYS food chain is an average fast food at best. Some locations throughout the DFW area are slightly better than other locations. My first issue is with how inconsistent the restaurant’s policy is with veterans who patronize the restaurant. Some locations give veterans a half order of chips and queso with a valid military ID.
