When I think of Torchys, I used to believe it was a nice time to go out with family and eat some good food. Now it’s turned into a money hustle and everyone up at hq are too busy, keeping each other and their friends employed, to actually fix anything. A staple of Austin is being turned into corporate greed. Tired of it

Not like Austin/college station Torchy’s of 12/13 yrs ago. The brick mortar/truck hot not now, Waited for them in Colorado. Terrible. Tried them open hse in Colorado Springs terrible. Tried them atleast 5x now still terrible. Not same taste, service, quality of cooking. Won’t be back . Never. I make better. What did orig owner do differently.
It saddens me to write this review, because Torchy's used to be so good. It's complete trash, now. I've been eating Torchy's since they had their first brick and mortar store. I can't do it anymore. It looks like they sold out to private equity and got cost optimized to hell, just like Whataburger sold out to private equity and got cost optimized to hell. It's another once-great Texas chain in the grave of other once-great Texas chains that got bought by private equity and ruined.
