I failed my smog check recently due to excessive NO emissions and decided to take my car here. The mechanic told me exactly what was wrong and showed me. It turns out my EGR Solenoid valve was broken, which is a rare part for my old 99 Mercury Villager that the dealer didn't have. He managed to find it and it wasn't cheap, he made that clear. Just ask for James! After getting an estimate from another repair shop of $3100, to replace my transmission and replace some of the electrical wires, I had my car towed to top tune to get their estimate. The mechanic, James inspected the car and said the transmission and electrical wires are working and the problem was the fuel injector. I kept going to him for my car's maintenance, and he has given me great advice.
