OK Catering Looking to have mexican food catered? If you have nothing else close by then by all means give them a try. As for me, after my sister got food poisoning eating their fare, we have not ordered catering from them and certainly not eaten in their restaurant. I thought the food was fine and seemed warm enough when served at our event. For catered Mexican food consider La Salsa. PROS: OK taste CONS: Food poisoning

Good and Food and Service The Iced Tea was ice cold and smooth. Our server kept the glass filled. The SOS Peach Margarita was very tasty and smooth. The chips were crisp and fresh, but the salsa had lots of kick. The Combo #1 had a Cheese Enchilada with the cheese flowing out when we cut into the enchilada. It was a very cheesy taste. The Beef Taco had a good portion of beef. The Tamale was excellent with a nice texture and not spicy and the Burrito Fundido was excellent. When asked if it was spicy, our server said it was pr... read more

Really solid Mexican food I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food personally, but really a big fan of Top Shelf. The chips they start you out with are fantastic. I’m pretty basic, tacos and enchiladas, and both are great. The beans seem to have the perfect amount of cheese placed on top. They also have enormous beers if you enjoy an adult beverage. Really a good place for happy hour.

We'll be going back! The chips were excellent and lightly salted, crisp and warm. The Carne Asada Taco Plate arrived with 3 corn tortillas filled with Carne Asada meat. The meat was flavorful and tender. The tacos were messy to eat but otherwise delicious. The plate came with beans and rice as well. Everything arrived hot and plates were appropriately heated. The Lite Taco Rito was excellent, the best 400 calories we have ever tasted. The tortilla was filled with beans and covered with light cheese. There was a good helping ... read more

Great Mexican Food I visited Top Shelf for the first time last week and was blown away by how delicious the chimichanga was!! I ordered the shredded beef with sour cream and guac on top and I could not stop eating, even though I was beyond full. The chips and salsa were hot and fresh. The fried ice cream was a yummy cinnamon delight and melted in my mouth. I was visiting the Phoenix area and was very impressed with the quality of their food. It is very different from Mexican food in Texas, in fact, it is much better!

Great Food! Chips were crispy and tasted fine with just the right amount of salt. The salsa was fresh and spicy and had a good consistency. The Beef Chimi with beans, rice, guacamole, salad and Pico de Gallo was served piping hot. The chimi was a good sized portion. The shredded beef inside was authentic tasting and moist. The soft tortilla was neatly wrapped and had a good amount of cheese melted on top. The beans were fresh and tasted authentic as did the rice. The rice was a little dry, but tasty. The guacamole was mild a... read more

Top Shelf This is a mexian restaurant and it is wonderful. I love there food. They give you chips and salsa when you arrive (which is included for free) and the salsa is great. Then you get your meal which is always wonderful too! They always have great service. Sometimes during busy times you do have to wait to be seated but once your seated they keep up with everyone and get your food done fast. They have a bar you can sit at as well.
