RecommendedFirst day in Berkeley and I felt welcome. The owner/operator was awesome and did our veggie dogs up right. Excellent selection of food and great friendly service. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
This was my first time at Top Dog, and the customer service was so terrible that I may never be back. The cook made everyone feel unsafe and unwelcomed and like we were a burden. I went through with the transaction because my friend who recommended the place was with me and I didn't want to make things more awkward. She also bought food and will be filing a complaint. RecommendedWe always enjoy going to Top Dog, the guys behind the counter are always so friendly! The dogs are always on point and the selections are amazing!!! definitely reccomend for a quick bite to eat!!
RecommendedOnly the best sausages, buns and condiments are used here. I’ve converted to vegetarianism recently and their veggie dog is great too.

RecommendedHot dog heaven .... all beef, or chicken, or Polish, or Bratwurst ... iconically (my word apparently) Berkeley. More cooking space than standing space. No fancy toppings. Same place my husband frequented over 30 years ago when he attended UC Berkeley.
Still love the dogs. Seems like in the last year or two the dogs have shrunk which is sad. I guess I'll have to get two different flavors now.
