What an outstanding human. I don't even have the words to express how much appreciation I have for Dr. Toosie. I was extremely nervous and anxious about two breast biopsies I needed. Dr. Toosie was incredibly empathetic, took the time to listen, was incredibly thorough...and even made me laugh when I shed a few anxious tears. Her assistant was a young woman currently enrolled in school to become a nurse and she too was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommended.
Dr. Toosie had to surgically remove 2/3 of my colon during emergency surgery. She not only saved my life, but took the extra time to resection my intestines so I did not need to have a temporary colostomy.
I was feeling dreadful and getting worse. Heartburn, headaches, lack of energy, diarrhea, vomiting etc. When I collapsed on Saturday morning, my husband took me to Tri City Medical Emergency where by good fortune I ended up in the extremely capable hands of Dr. Toosie. She diagnosed my gall bladder infection & after immediate surgery I felt better than I have in years! Totally amazing that Dr. Toosie could not only diagnose my critical condition, but reverse it immediately. Fantastic!!!
I had a rough experience, due to a bleeding condition I did not know I had, I ended up with a hematoma at the incision site of my lumpectomy. Dr. Toosie had to open it back up 2 weeks after surgery. Because I was having chemo, the wound remained open and did not heal for 6 months. Dr. Toosie stuck with me & stayed on top of it, bringing me in at the hint of any problem. She was very positive and addressed my many fears with loving kindness. She is a special kind of surgeon and I am ever grateful
