The Tooloulou pizza is awesome! (Cajun and crab, together at last.) Po' boys are no slouch either.
I was cautioned about eating here and I should have headed the warning. We sat at the counter and placed our order for beignets, "housemade" strawberry jam, Tooloulou benedict, & Build Your Own Breakfast. The beignets came out pretty quickly and tasted okay. They definitely aren't what I would call a beignet, they were more like plain fried dough with powdered sugar. They didn't taste bad, just not close to a traditional beignet. From day one, Sean has been serving the most authentic New Orleans culinary experience in Baltimore. Every entrée tells its own story of perfectionism and deserves its own review. The po'boys are unbelievable, the sides stand out, and the pizza is close to godliness. Folks, this is the classic soul food experience, made timeless.
