It was an amazing experience to work with the Toolbox Renovations team and especially the founder, Carey Derksen. Throughout our experience, Carey was responsive, professional, and provided everything that was requested. 10/10 this service. We are very satisfied and enjoyed our our time working closely together.
Buyer beware. Steve (owner of Toolbox) quoted a reno job for me, and although his quote was not the lowest, I decided to go with him because of his professional demeanor and positive reviews. I paid Steve a $2000 deposit about a week before the project was scheduled to start. The day before his scheduled start date, Steve cancelled on me via e-mail. Steve renovated my kitchen in 2013. The kitchen turn out really well. We were very pleased with his work and professionalism. Always kind, polite and willing to listen to our ideas. He was very respectful of the timeline and finished the work on time. We would definitely call him again if we do other renovations around our house and we would recommend him 100%.
Steve did a great job replacing our sliding patio doors with French doors. He was was quick and efficient to deal with, and had good advice regarding products. We would hire him again.
Steve did a bathroom reno for me in the spring of 2015 as well as resurfaced a deck, removing the old cedar and relacing it with Timber Teck artificial wood. Steve was a pleasure to work with, always willing to discuss any issues and always professional in his approach to the work. I trusted him completely in the work he did and in his role of overseeing other trades people.
