Good Pizza, but that's about it.. The first 2 times we ate at Tony C's, our experience was very similar to Crysta C.'s. We ordered burgers and a calamari appetizer. The calamari was very bland, and the burgers first came out raw, were sent back, and then returned charred. Recently, however, we returned once again on a suggestion that we order pizza. Tony C's Pizzaria rocks! We thought the food was great! My husband and I stopped in for the second time. We're from out of town and found Tony C's to be very comfortable, the server took really great care of us, drinks were always filled, table was cleaned,the food came out pretty fast. The first time we went we had burgers. This was probably one of the best burgers I had in a long time! The next time we had wings, nice and spicy and a Grandma pizza. Tony C's Pizzaria is great enviorment for the family I got the spin dip which was awesome:) Then they smiled alot at my daughter which was nice:) They were really at tentative and I was shocked that my food came out so fast considering all the bad reviews. I live next door so it was a nice chance to get out with the baby and enjoy a lunch out:-)
Waited for an hour and food never came... We were so excited to see Tony C's open in Cary. We have long been fans of the owners other restaurant Cinellis. But we've been there three times now, and ALL THREE TIMES we've waited so long for the food, that we nearly walked out. Finally, the last time there, we did walk out after waiting an hour for just 2 lunchtime sandwiches. Never even got the food. Perhaps they WANT to go out of business? Worst dining experience I've ever had. Ever. Food - mediocre at best, AND expensive. It seemed like they have never made food before. It tasted canned, covered in frost bite and/or microwaved until dry and hard. I've had better food in my high school cafeteria. We were a group of 4 and there were 3 others in the entire restaurant. One server and the manager to take care of us... yet we were without drinks most of the time. We really really wanted to like this place :(
Very good food... close to home. We have been there several times.. each time it gets better and better... I had the Salmon... It was OUTSTANDING!!! The portion was very big. My bride loves the Lasagna. I have had the Penne Rustico which was very good. If you have ever work in or opened a new restaurant you may give the folks a break... if not I can understand why some folks might be so harsh. Awesome Italian Food I think Tony C's Pizzaria is fabulous. Growing up outside New York City I am quite particular about Italian food. I was so thankful to find Tony C's and have some authentic Italian food that reminded me of home,
Tony C's Pizzeria is one of the worst around! Terrible service...they are constantly out of everything adn the ownership seems pretty clueless as to how to run a restaurant. Waiting 90 mins for pizza?? What a joke!
Frozen pasta and Chef Boyardee...Tony C's is equally "authentic" Judging from other sites and reviews, the only positive experiences appear to be coming directly from ownership, staff or friends. Don't believe it. It's actually hard to find a positive about my experience there. The hilarious menu featuring a "downer" of a story, combined with menu selections that aren't available would typically be enough...but not here.
