I purchased both of my cars here, I had a great experience for many years up until I took one of my cars in for a check in and they quoted me 7k. In the quote, they included 4 wheel drive work, on a car that did not have 4 wheel drive. This felt dishonest. I took my car for a second opinion and they did amazing work for $1200. That’s a HUGE price difference, my car is a 2014 with 80 thousand miles. It’s a well taken care of car. I am disappointed and have lost trust with this company.
This review is pertaining to the parts department. I went there to pick a few parts today and Kevin who works at the parts department was extremely helpful. In fact, he is always that way. He spends time and makes sure that I get the correct parts every time. He is also knowledgable so I've got great tips on car repairs and general maintenance in the past. Salespeople here are dry and don’t take your business seriously. Borderline rude. Will try other Tonkin dealerships.
Read the review right now before you take your vehicle here. Brought my mazda 3 for a diagnosis on starting issue. Not only did they not diagnose the starting issue, they quoted me $10,000 in other repairs and a complete wiring harness replacement! That’s a massive job for absolutely no reason. I took it to another mechanic and they fixed the wiring connection to the starter in 10 minutes and charged me $50. I’m not kidding. All it was was a loose connection. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle through Mazda, Michael Scott should be your go-to. He’s personable, professional, and was never pushy with pricing or negotiating. He knew the ins and outs of my new vehicle and was a pleasure to work with. He knows his job and does it well. I cannot recommend him enough!
