I have eaten here many times and always enjoy the food and service. Great chips and salsa.
Came to Tonala Mexican Restaurant to treat myself after a few work successes, and honestly, I was blown away by the service and atmosphere. The location is gorgeous, the ambiance is welcoming, and the service was top notch from start to finish. This would be a great place to bring my girlfriend, friends, or family for a nice meal. Rubber shrimp in my shrimp cocktail and the resolution was to discount the uneaten order 50%. No bueno
The hostess acted like we were bothering her. Body language says it all - too bad because the hostess creates the very first impression patrons get upon entering. The food was tasty. The sad part: I ordered the Shrimp with mushrooms in wine sauce because that is my GO TO dish. And To my very disappointment I received a small boat dish with six (6) shrimp.
