Good food, kitchen is very slow, service lacking – While there is a shortage of quality restaurants in Downtown Vancouver Tommy Os is one of the better ones when it comes to menu, food quality and ambiance. With that said, Tommys is severely lacking when it comes to service. After dinning here twice and ordering take out once, I experienced extremely long waits every time. Best food in Vancouver!! – Tommy O's is hands down the best place for lunch and dinner anywhere in Vancouver and rivals most Portland area restaurants. I have been eating at Tommy O's for lunch for years and have recently discovered his dinner menu is EXCELLENT. The Pacific Rim Bistro theme is well executed with fresh fish specials daily and a fantastic happy hour menu. The atmosphere is fun and casual while still being appropriate for dates and other more formal occasions. Check out the live music Fridays and Saturdays.
Try Tommy's for dinner... – ..., you won't be disappointed! Tommy's has been a downtown institution for a decade but now there's more reasons to love his place....Dinner is amazing. If you're in the mood for fish, you can't beat Tommy's halibut or scallop dishes. Feeling more like beef? Then you can't pass up the Kalbi ribs.

GREAT SPOT – I have been going to Tommy's for a while now and love going back. The Kalua pork is the bomb! You gotta try it! The calamari steak sandwich is mmm, mmm, good.
Several good vegetarian choices – This place has since moved, but is still in the downtown area. I've been here both for lunch and brunch. For lunch I've gotten the vegetarian Asian noodle bowl, which is noodles seasoned with a soy ginger dressing, served hot with stir fry vegetables. When I eat brunch there I purchase the Kailua (sp?), which is veggies and tofu in a curry suace. It's good each time I get it. There is also a vegetarian sandwhich on the menu.
