You know it's bad enough that these Tom Thumb prices are higher than any other Tom Thumb in the metroplex, including the one less than half a mile away, but what makes it worse is when you are in a store where people aren't completely indifferent to their customers. I've never been anywhere except for Walmart, where the staff is so unfriendly. It was almost a completely vacant-looking store. I think I saw maybe three employees, and they certainly weren't friendly. It's the first time I was grateful for self-checkout.
