I absolutely loved my visit to Tokiwa Ramen! The food was incredibly flavorful (just had to get that extra nikumisu) especially the ramen shown in the picture, and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and inviting. I can't wait to come back!
Tokiwa Ramen served up a solid meal. We ordered three Hokkaido Miso with chicken chashu and one Goma Goma ramen. The Hokkaido miso had a rich, slightly sweet broth and tender, well-seasoned chicken chashu — comforting and satisfying. The Goma Goma was creamy with a pronounced sesame flavor that wasn’t overpowering. Noodles had good chew, portions were generous, and bowls arrived hot. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend trying the Ramune drink. Would come back
We ordered two noodle bowls and there were 3 pieces of pork in each. All 6 pieces have about 40-50% of inedible tough tendons/gristle that are difficult to chew. I showed the waitress and she brought them back to the kitchen, then returned saying all the meats are like that that day. And that's the end of it, no resolution was offered :( A disappointing experience.
Been searching across Canada and yet to find a ramen place I love this much.
