Absolutely unacceptable experience. From the moment I called in, the office staff were completely unprofessional. I had to call twice just to get an appointment scheduled because the receptionist was rude and dismissive with a nasty tone.The worst part? A medical assistant actually called me a liar—and when I reacted emotionally, yes, I screamed and cussed, because being called a liar when you're seeking mental health support is beyond triggering. Best primary care Dr I ever had. They are more like family to me.
I've been with Dr. T's office since 2012. He is an excellent physician....kind, thorough, and keeps current in medicine. For the comments below that are negative, I can say that although I would have agreed with some of it in 2017 when they were posted, he has newer staff there now (PAs) who are wonderful. I usually see a PA when I'm there, and they have all been excellent. The wait time can be longer than I like, but I know it's because they are taking the time to talk with patients. Dr. T was good, but his medical assistant was terrible. He did not follow up on anything, always had to call back a couple times to get info.
I would not recommend this office. My husband was a patient went into the office with an extremely swollen leg saw the PA as he could not see the doctor. She looked at his leg and told him he had pulled muscle. He asked could this be a blood clot she said oh no. Gave him a prescription for a muscle relaxer and sent him home. Next day leg swollen twice as large, went to urgent care. Dr at urgent looked at his leg said its a blood clot sent us to ER. Spent 3 days in hospital. Will not return.
To all Dr. Robert Tognacci saved my life Where other Doctors missed, Dr Tognocci found?? The staff is very warm and friendly and the wait times are not bad at all I love the caring atmosphere and I must say after being around for 55 years Dr Tognocci is simply the best Amazing DOC! I have been a patient of Dr. Tognacci since he started his practice here in Chandler. I agree with the other comments. He is very thorough, he is up to date on medicines and current on medical conditions. He is patient and takes time with his patients. I am not happy with his staff and lack of process. I have to call in for test results, twice I have gotten the wrong prescription. No follow up and 48 hours to return a call. I use Urgent Care for emergencies, he is always booked.
