I was referred to Dr. Tessendorf by my electrophysiologist, Dr. Kapalis, after an echocardiogram showed structural abnormalities that required follow-up. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Tessendorf was disappointing and concerning. Visit 1 (May 29, 2025): I attended my appointment with my partner, who witnessed the entire interaction. I was originally seen by Dr. Kapalis, an Electrophysiologist, who ordered an echocardiogram and then referred me to Dr. Tessendorf at Bryan Heart. After the echo, I was placed on a Holter Monitor, which showed that my heart was going into Sinus Tachycardia—explaining the chest pain I had been experiencing. During this time, Dr. Tessendorf told me he planned to order another echo because my original test had shadows, and he wanted a clearer view of my entire heart.
