I was referred to Dr. Atkinson by my primary doctor. Being from up north, I did not have any previous connections. The treatment I received was outstanding, not only by the very caring surgeon, but the entire staff. Everything was scheduled and taken care of without any glitches or problems. Having moved here in 2019 from Boston and Having a lot of orthopedic surgery for many years. By the time I saw Dr Atkinson I was unable to move my left shoulder. I had prior surgery on both shoulders years ago. Dr. Atkinson has devoted his life to shoulders and it shows. He did a total shoulder replacement last May and following his rehab plan it is perfectly fine.. In fact it went so well he did another surgery on my hand since and that is perfectly fine. I don't think id go anywhere else.

I relocated here from the Midwest 6 months ago and when I came I had a bad hip and could hardly walk without excruciating pain. When I moved, I knew I had to find a new orthopedic surgeon ASAP after my insurance was ready. I was recommended to see Dr. Atkinson. I did not have to wait long to get an appointment. I immediately loved and admired him and was not as nervous or scared. Dr. Atkinson and staff are great. I had shoulder surgery back in May and I am feeling great. Dr. Atkinson takes the time to explain everything about the surgery and what to expect. The physical therapists ant the Cape Coral office are great also. They helped so much with the recovery. They take the time to show you the exercises and explain how they help. Ed, Louise and Gabby are kind and we had some laughs. I highly recommend Dr. Atkinson!
