Lee Smith,where do I begin. He is a real piece of work. I live 750 miles from him. Bought a car from him on EBAY, should have known better. I tried to get there to see the car before purchase,but couldn`t,due to the Covid 19 pandemic,Mr Lee Smith promised me the car was as he described,saying,' I give you my word as a man the car is what I am saying'. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!!!! ONCE YOU MAKE PAYMENT FOR A VEHICLE THEY WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR SEND YOU ALL THE PAPERWORK TO INCLUDE THE TITLE. They advertise their cars on ebay with a high buy it now price and sell it for a lower price outside ebay after the add exspires so they don't get bad ebay feed back when people find the vehicle is not as advertised.
Bought a truck from this guy was in no way as described , a/c did not work,heater core plugged, transmission jumped out of gear, headliner had 3 burn holes in it, glove box door latch broken, walnut sized dent was more like basketball size,original paint claim wrong. Had been painted mult. times in mult places. Only thing that was as described was claim to being rust free and color was right. Never again, would steer clear of this guy.
Because of these reviews here I did some research on a vehicle listed by Mr. Smith. Claims of matching numbers doesn't mean a thing; he'll tell you that's what he was told. Rebuilt doesn't mean a thing. Because an engine is removed from the car and is cleaned up, painted and some new parts (ie carb and alternator) replaced does not constitute rebuilt. Do your do diligence with this guy then ask him questions you already have the answers to; you will be amazed at what you'll hear. He'll make it sound too good.
Unfortunately I didn't read these reviews before purchasing a truck from Lee Smith. I bought a truck he had listed on eBay just like some of these other guys. I made the mistake of letting him end the auction early and I paid him the money because he had such a good feedback rating. His eBay rating is very good because eBay will make sure he does right because of their guarantee. If he removes the listing he can do whatever he wants. Unscrupulous, uses e-bay to prop up votes. Pre sells, and will not return a phone call. This is EXACTLY what gives used car salesman a bad name........don't walk, RUN from this guy!!
LEE SMITH from Today's Auto is a thief and a fraud. Lee shill bids the cars he has on Ebay to bump up the prices. All of his cars are garbage and all are in need of work regardless of what bs lies he tells you. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM Today's Auto-Shawsville, VA. Made A deal with Lee Smith owner of Todays Auto in Shawsville VA on a vehicle he had on ebay. Gave my credit card info for 500.00 dollar deposit and was told that paper work would be sent via email and the vehicle would be removed from Ebay right away. My card was charged but no paper work came and the car never came off Ebay Auction. My subsequent phone calls and emails were totally ignored.
