Gross smells, rancid trash room that is emptied twice a month at best, strong urine smell in front stairwell. Landlord does absolute bare minimum for all cleanliness and repair related requests. Carpets are absolutely filthy and smell, but they refuse to replace and will only steam clean them which makes the whole building smell like dirty carpet for 2 days. This landlord sucks. Management has been ghosting me :/ I would not rent here.
It's more like 3.5 stars cuz of wifi, but TLDR, I think the benefits outweigh the downsides. I enjoyed living here. It's honestly a good option for anyone going solo for a bit/ UW students looking for a cheaper place to live. I also want to call out some of the negative comments, since for this price, living is very doable. If you're a tough person, you'll be just fine here. Just a quick pros and cons list for anyone that wants to live here: Pros: 1. Very close to the link station and the 8 stop, as well as Cal Anderson park and the Sunday farmers market. 2. Very modern construction so there’s plenty of amenities like a storage locker (paid), high speed internet, dishwasher, laundry/dryer in unit, etc. 3. Elevator 4. A/C That’s basically it. Cons: 1. Been here two weeks, the halls smell like pee or smoke depending on which hall, the door lock broke day two so I had to pick the lock on my own house and then buy my own. The dishwasher is leaking (again, this is two weeks in). Biggest issue is wifi. -- It's a scam upcharge system, but it's buggy as hell and the validation / account system to make sure you're a paying customer is so glitchy that it automatically disconnects you constantly.
