Made me feel like I was part of their family
Very caring and competent.
My visit was good. They injected me twice in my thumb for the 2nd time since my 1st one in May 2021. 1st one was better than the 2nd one. The needle went into the muscle, which left me with some bruising. Very stiff and sore after a day. Not sure if that's normal. Gripping things is complicated. I've been dropping things easier than before. Wearing a thumb splint brace you gave me. Seems to be helping. I'll give it a few more days to see if it gets better. In May I had no problems. I can't say enough positive about my experience with ORA orthopedics and their associate Rock Valley Physical Therapy. The entire staff of both organizations was very professional and my operation and recovery went like clockwork. Dr. Tobias Mann repaired my thumb joint by removing of an arthritic carpal and replacing it by modifying one of my flexor tendons and tightening up the thumb connection. I see such good reviews and wish I could say I had the same experience. I must have an off day for Dr. Mann. He took xrays on my hand then pushed around on the area of my hand asking if it hurt. Otherwise said he was going to have blood work done and they would call back in 2 weeks to have me come back in when results were back. He thought it looked to me a type of arthritis. Friendly and Professional
Dr. Mann is an excellent doctor. He listens to the patient, takes time to explain things thoroughly and answer questions, helps clarify pros and cons of taking certain routes with medical care, etc. That said, ORA can be frustrating to deal with at times. Scheduling and billing can be a real hassle. So, great doctor, less great organization.
Dr. Mann was very thorough, very professional, and very thoughtful. He listened to my complaint, performed his testing, made his diagnosis and then presented explained options for me. Then told me which option he would recommend for one of his family and why. Very pleasant visit!
Distal Bicep Tendon repair on my left arm. His staff is great, if I had to do it all over I wouldn't change a thing with Dr. Mann. Great listener, attentive and genuinely wants you as a person to get better. Hard to find nowadays!
