Swanky TLA Still Hits the Mark Despite it's upscale neighbors, this TLA Video store retains most of the same downtown attitude as the other locations around Philly. Same set-up for renting and buying videos and dvds, so no confusion for repeat visitors. Good selection. Not enough parking on Friday and Saturday evenings. PROS: CONS: not enough parking on busy nights

if they don't have it, it doesn't exist the most extensive collection of movies i've ever seen anywhere - just make sure you have ample time to browse if you don't know exactly what you want. the staff is entirely composed of helpful film buffs - made that way through an arduous application process (i applied, and clearly my knowledge of movies was not enough to even warrant an interview!). if you can't find the movie you want to see in this place, it just doesn't exist on portable media. PROS: amazing selection, great staff... read more
