When you have to pay a title company thousands of dollars at closing so they can file your paperwork "correctly" I would expect it to be done correctly! But nope...Here I am 7 years later and because of a clerical error from the title company, I still don't have my own house titled in my name. Can't even sell or Refi my house because of this! For how much you are forced to pay for their service and how often real estate buying and selling never goes as planned, you'd think that a halfway decent title company would plan for small hiccups that delay things for a few hours without having to reschedule for a new day. Office staff have no concept of the inflexibility of moving on a holiday weekend, and instead of solutions swap back and forth yelling at their customers.
