THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE On November 21, 2017 I went to the office in Yreka CA, paid a past due balance and paid for another 100 gallon load. I was told by alisha at that time I would get my delivery on Monday Nov 27. At 1530 hours on 11/27, I called Alisha to see where the delivery was. She said she could not locate the driver and could not help me since he would return after she had left for the night. My father had his propane with a company that was bought out by Amerigas. My brother happened to notice a bill on his counter where he was being charged over $4/gallon for propane. I called Amerigas for my father and explained that I had just filled up for $1.25. They told me that was cheaper than they could buy it. Long story short they agreed to adjust his bill to $2 and something. Next bill came and he was overcharged again. Just had our tank refilled (219.1 g) at a cost of $3.21/gallon. Other local Lexington propane suppliers are charging $1.99/gallon. Called Amerigas and the most they would offer was dropping it to $2.99. That would make them a profit of $219 on our fill alone. This company basically extorts money from their customers. They need to be investigated. After reading all the other complaints/reviews, we are not alone.

I am on automatic delivery. I live in Hemlock Farms Community and was extended the Community Rate for delivery in the past as were the prior owners, which adds up to over 10 years as being a customer. On 11/19/2017 propane was delivered automatically. The next day I received a call from the Honesdale office in PA advising me that I recently had a delivery and if I had any questions to call. Because of the high price of the gas at this time, I ordered 50 gallons since we are both on social security as our means of income. Our tank was filled with over 75 gallons. I am told there is nothing they can do but put us on a payment plan. I was told by customer service that they would talk to management & get back to me. There was never a return phone call. I was a long time customer of Amerigas--actually cannot say "was" because I cannot seem to end the relationship. For many of those years I was satisfied with my service. I even remained with them through several years of substantial price increases, but after seeing their contract price for the 2017/18 season, I decided that I had had enough. I was able to secure a yearlong price from another provider at 1/3 of the price of Amerigas' lock-in price (without having to pay a contract fee). Though I have made several calls, no a... read more

Impossible to deal with this company. Deliveries sporadic. Customer service is an oxymoron. Notes from each conversation not in computer. Have been waiting 5 weeks for them to come pick up their tank. Got confirmation it would be today-I called at 2:30 today to double check. Was told I was on the schedule. Ten minutes later was called and told sorry a mistake. Pick up is scheduled for November 16. They are unresponsive to questions or needs.

THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION. WE RAN OUT OF PROPANE FOR OUR GENERATOR WHICH WAS DYING. E MAILED, RECEIVED CALL IN 35 MINUTES, EXPLAINED SITUATION. & THEY GOT RIGHT ON IT. AT 3:30 THEY ARRIVED WITH NEW TANK & INSTALLED IT. THEY DIVERTED THE FUELING TRUCK, GOT THE TANK FILLED WITHIN AN HOUR & GENERATOR STILL CRANKING. WOULD BE IN BAD STRAITS, SINCE WE ARE STILL WITHOUT POWER. SPECIAL CITATION TO BRENDA FOR ALL HER GREAT EFFORT.

I moved to a rental with a 250 gallon propane tank in the fall of 2015. I signed a contract with mountain propane in port hadlock, wa to have automatic deliveries at a fixed price. During the spring of 2017, the deliveries continued but at a price 80% higher than what the contract stated. I looked at the contract and the end date of the contract was actually 6 months before the start date. I hadn't noticed the error and there was no way for me to know what the end date was.
