Having spent two years in Germany during my Army days I did two things when I had time. I drank gallons of beer from over hundreds of local brewers. I also ate.. I ate knockwurzt, bratwurst and everything in between. My favorite was a schnitzel sandwich and a german beer. In the 35 yrs I walked away from Uncle Sam, I've yet to find an authentic schnitzel. Been coming here for years, unfortunately food quality is not as good as years past. Had breakfast yesterday French toast was terrible! Burnt and hard with no flavor. Certainly was not freshly prepared. I am being kind giving them 2 stars, they really deserve only 1!
One of my favorite restaurants and a special treat for us. We come from Murrieta just for the wonderful food. Their dill pickle and sauerkraut are the best I've ever had. The prime rib and the cabbage rolls are very good too. And I love shopping there for things I can't find anywhere else.
Went for lunch, portion sizes were good and service was quick, definitely plan on returning to try their breakfast!
Awesome place as always. Big Johns breakfast was delicious as always! And saw Big John still working away there. Wonderful to see a small business flourish!
The worst breakfast we have ever had. Eggs where over cooked and hard. I asked them to be recooked and they forgot. So only thing to eat was the potatoes. When we where leaving I reminded the waiter and she looked at me with a confused look. She had completely forgotten again.
