Very unprofessional and didn’t care about my needs as a mental health patient! I don’t know how he is even still practicing. He manipulated me into lowering my dose that is working great by telling me in detail that I’ll get a terrible boiling rash which come to find out from my family dr is very rare. It was very manipulative and my jaw was dropped! I will never return to that dr ever and I recommend everyone else seek other care because this person should not be treating anyone with mental illness. He gave me a panic attac... read more

I am always hesitant to meet with psychiatrists because I have had not so great interactions in the past. I feel like most of them are just pushing meds and not listening to you. Dr. Vandyck is personable, remembers your individual needs from session to session and does a great job explaining his treatment plan. I am super nervous about trying new meds typically but I have felt more at ease in his care. The team on therapist and staff in the office are really great as well.

So unprofessional & not an ounce of compassion. Really shouldn’t be treating anyone with serious mental illness. I was referred for anxiety which has been much better - but my doctor wanted to make sure I was on the right medicine. It took me a while to get in so by the time I saw him, my medicine was doing it’s job & he was so confused why I was there as if it was my idea. It was a very uncomfortably awkward encounter. I wouldn’t recommend him at all.
