Experience has been more of a pain than the one in my back. Better if I had done my own injections!
After a long search for a pain mgmt dr that accepted my ins, I found Dr. Zoys. I googled him and read a few negative comments and thought, "this can't be happening to me." "Where am I going to find a good doctor now." I kept my appt, he didn't sugar coat anything but it was all respectful, not condescending at all. He spent quality time(that he didn't have to)trying to find the best possible treatment for my situation, whether it was with him or somewhere else. He's the real deal!
In 2015 Dr Zoys had me do therapy for a few weeks, then did a spine injection. Due to other health issues haven't been back. In August of 2017 and in much pain went back for possibly 2nd injection. Dr Zoys didn't seem to understand why I was seeing him again and didn't listen to to what was going on with my pain. Was very rude and I got upset and in tears very quickly. Dr Zoys didn't seem to try understand and just upset me even more. I just left his office and not going back.
Terribly rude and condescending. Doesn't listen to the patient and comes across very suspicious and distrusting. Felt like I was being lectured and not in a healing manner.
I went to see this doctor with chronic pain from a servere calcanius fracture and surgeries to repair it. I had stopped taking pain meds in 2014 but had struggled with pain ever since. I hoped the doctor would prescribe something I could take when the pain was almost unbearable. He treated me like a criminal and his questions sounded like a interragation. He was a real jackass! I got nothing out of my visit but anger and humiliation. Don't waste your time and money!
Dr. Zoys explained everything to us when I took my mother and father. He is a caring doctor that understood what they needed at that time. Wonderful staff too!
100% agree w/other review. Dr Zoys is RUDE & a complete JERK! My doctor made an appt for me to see Dr Zoys for back injections. Im in a wheelchair & I already have a pain management doctor but he is not set up to do these "particular" injections. NOT ONE TIME did I ask or act as I were there for meds, ONLY there for injection. He said didn't know why I was there, injection wouldn't work & said my doctor was an "idiot" to prescribe me current regiment! YES, will insinuate & treat u like a junkie!
This Dr. Zoys is a pompous jerk. I understand that the federal government has cracked down on prescription opioid pain medications, and I'm sure that some or many patients seeking help for pain are trying to scheme the system to get drugs, Dr. Zoys treats his patients like we are junkies, and makes unfounded assumptions, and doesn't care to listen or learn differently. It has been a very long time since I was talked to in such a thoroughly condescending, patronizing manner.
